Injuring this character: Even in the GoC canon there's only one thing that could, and that was kind of the point. Fear is personal and each person must overcome their own. So no on this.
Killing this character: Again No. Fear is immortal.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Well there's not really much of a mind left to read? If you're keen on giving it a try, you'd most likely see your own worst fears. The harder your character tries the worse it gets. It's a nasty catch-22 honestly.
